Sandy Garnett, a Darien native who has been at the LAA space since 1994, is one of several artists who have wrestled with how to display works inspired by destruction of the World Trade Center. At a recent visit, a massive canvas of the Twin Towers' destruction - complete with falling stick figures and a panic-stricken crowds fleeing the scene - lorded over the thumbrints piece and traditional portraits in his work space. The artist says he's not sure if he is going to display it prominently, or at all for that matter.
